Symphony Scholars is an exciting and growing partnership between State Theatre New Jersey and the New Brunswick Public School District, Edison High School, and SpeakMusic Conservatory that gives students in the instrumental music programs special access to the theater’s classical music series. The free program offers a thrilling opportunity for these budding musicians to experience live classical music by a world-class orchestra.

Symphony Scholars includes free concert tickets for each student and a family member and a special meet-and-greet with the conductor and soloist after the show. Students receive extensive pre-concert preparation, including introductory workshops and study guides. A follow-up workshop leads participants to meaningful reflection on the experience.

Support for Classical Education and Engagement is provided in part by The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation. The Symphony Scholars program is a partnership between State Theatre New Jersey, New Brunswick Public School District, SpeakMusic Conservatory, and Edison High School.
